MAC Cosmetics Prep + Prime Skin Refined Zone Review

(Image from MAC Cosmetics Website.)
US $21.00
What it is:
A light, oil-free emulsion that helps cloak visible pores while controlling oil and shine. Applies "wet" for a gentle micro-exfoliation; dries instantly to create an invisible, long lasting natural matte finish. Ideal for the T-zone. (This info is from their website.)

I found myself reaching and using this product a lot because hot summer days already arrived. My t-zone gets super oily in a short period of time. This product helped me to solve my problem. After I applied my moisturizer (Olay Complete All Day UV Moisturizer - Normal), I let the moisturizer soak in to my skin for about 5 minutes and then I will apply a pea-size amount of this product to my t-zone first then the left overs on my cheeks, and I'm ready to go out. It leaves my face look and feel oil-free for like 4-5 hours. Sometimes I finish my routine with a powder to make it last longer. I usually use my moisturizer and this product everyday. It leaves my skin in a natural matte finish. When I'm at my school, I always bring this product, I'll wash my face with some water and I will apply this even without my moisturizer, and sometimes I will not apply some powder after I applied this, to make the long story short, I use this by itself. I recently finished my first tube of this and I have another one on hand. I've been loving this product even though I sometimes use it by itself. You should try it if you have an oily or combination skin!

Ups:
  • You'll get 15 ML / 0.5 US fl oz of product in one tube. One tube of this really lasts for a long time
  • It's packaging is in a squeezable tube
  • Hygienic packaging
  • Good for combination/oily skin
  • Doesn't clog pores
  • Natural matte finish
  • You can use it by itself
  • A good face primer
  • Oil-free
  • Keeps face matte and oil-free for like 4-5 hours
  • A little goes a long way
  • Minimizes the look of the pores
Downs: HONESTLY, I HAVE NONE. IT WAS A REALLY GOOD PRODUCT.

Revlon ColorStay Aqua Mineral Makeup Review

ColorStay Mineral From Aqua
Revlon ColorStay Aqua Mineral Makeup
(Image from the Revlon website.)
What it is:
A fragrance free mineral loose powder that gives Instant hydration with coconut water, luminous look that lasts all day,Shine free formula made with water, not oil, and it is said to be an award winning. (This info is from their website.)

After getting this product recently in the shade of medium, I was excited how it works because of its name that has the word "Aqua". Getting an idea from the name itself, I assumed that this product will feel wet or cool when applied to my skin. That idea didn't let me down. I also heard that this product is award winning, I have high hopes on this product.  After I enjoyed applying it, I observed that this powder has a lot of shimmers in it, I felt kind of worried because I have combination skin type and I was afraid that it can accentuate my oily t-zone and pores.I think those shimmers were meant to let you achieve that luminous look and it also has SPF 13 in it. I neglected the shimmers that was mixed with it and started to use it everyday and it seems I'm loving this product! I sometimes use a primer to make it last all day if I don't have time to touch up my face. The brush comes with it works well with the powder. This is kind of weird to say but I'm kind of in love with this product.

Ups:
  • You can get 9.9 grams of this product and it will last you for like a few months.
  • It comes in handy with a good synthetic retractable brush.
  • I love how it feels when applied to the skin.
  • It really feels refreshing. this is a good product for the summer.
  • It has SPF 13
  • Didn't broke my skin out.
  • Award winning (info from their website)
  • Has a luminous,dewy finish
  • Oil free
  • Fragrance free
  • Shine free formula
Downs:

  • Has alot of shimmers
  • Sometimes it doesnt last long
